I recently lost around half of my files and data due to the Disk Cleanup Utility on my PC. I would like to know which data recovery utility is best for recovering all of my files. I lost things like movies, music, program files, etc. Which program will recover them and put them back exactly where they were-the way they were? Price is no object for the programs. 10 points for the best answer.

Hello, everyone, I do not want to spend alot of money (if i don’t have to) Most likely I will only use this program once and hopefully will not have any HD’s fail and need recovery anytime soon so I dont want to spend alot of money, but I have an 80gig Western Digital HD, that due to an NTLDR not found error and me trying to fix it with the Ultimate Boot CD, now has corrupt partitions (I think), anyway Windows doesnt recognize it anymore and tries to prompt me to reformat it. . . but I want to at least try to recover some of the data off of it before I just throw in the towel and reformat. I have been running a program I found on this webiste called Handy Recovery 3.0, It looked like a pretty good program but I dont really know what to even look for in a data recovery program. HR30 has now been running for OVER 38 hours and has only covered about 56 gigs of the 80 gig hard drive! Is this normal? from what I can tell it is only trying to read the partitions it is not recovering any data? And it said the demo version will only recover 1 file a day . . . so am I just wasting my time trying to use it? Can someone please help me determine what program is right for me? I run WIN XP. THANKS!!!

Not sure this is the best but it will recover from errors by the device between the chair and the keyboard.

I’ve been calling around trying to get quotes on hard drive data recovery seems like out of 15 different places i called have pretty much the EXACT same prices, is there any place that’s cheaper then 500$?, if there isn’t company would you recommend?

I am starting a PC Repair Business. I would like to offer data recovery for people who accidentally deleted files. I assume there is decent software out there for that. What is the best solution for this scenario?
Also, I would like to offer the same for people with dead, or dying, hard drives. This would require a more “physical” approach. What is the best solution for this scenario?
Please answer both questions. I am not sure how much money I want to sink into this… I guess it depends on the market for the service. For the first example, I would have no problem buying software (but freeware is nice too, if it works). For the second example, I will assume it is expensive, so just give me whatever you can.
