Does Anyone Know Where I Can Get Completely Free Data Recovery Software?

I am so sick of this I don’t know what to do. My computer decided to reinstall windows and “erased” my files from my computer. After calling Dell, I was directed to some “free” data recovery software and have spent the better part of today running them only to find out that I need to purchase the software in order to get my files back. I DO NOT have $100. Does anyone know where I can get completely FREE data recovery software? Just list the name not the link. Today I used powerdatarecovery and photo recovery both listed on http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2008… and advanced NTFS recovery so no help there. Please help! Thanks for your speedy assistance!

If you lost your data completely (deleted data from Hard Drive) you are not going to recover it, unless you pay $100 or so for the Software.
If the data lost is important, I would buy the software. =]

You can try undelete and/or undelete plus or also a program called recuva. There are several places where you can get them free like the majorgeeks.com download page or at filehippo.com or download.com. Best to you…
