first person to give me a link to the download that works gets 10 points. The HD is an IPOD 80GB transferring USB. I’d like to get pictures from our vacation off there. The IPOD crashed, also is that a monthly problem for others?

Whereas we once had to rely on human hands and eyes, we can now use a machine to inspect the finished creation for us. A laser rolls over the finished product and transfers the data to a computer. That data is much more sufficient and complete than any human can offer because their senses are simply limited.

After the data is transferred to the computer, scientists can see exactly where there might be a problem or if all the parts of the machine, even the smallest parts in the hardest to see places, were installed correctly. If so, then the product can be sent off to the field for use or to the manufacturing plant for mass production.

Bottom line, the thoroughness of the laser machine is far superior to what any human eye could offer in terms of information. In a matter of minutes, the computer can tell you exactly what and where there is a problem in the manufacturing of the product.

Astronauts in the Space Station use this type of inspection as opposed to human inspection because it is important for them to be 100% positive that everything is installed correctly. In many cases, ensuring that all the parts of an object were created and secured correctly is a matter of safety. And there is no better way of making sure of this than using a machine.

I have reason to believe these are the safest options:
a) Remove the hard-drive, add it to another functional unit and transfer all the data to external portable hard-drive. Once data is secured, then do a complete re-install of operating system on problem computer.
b) Create Windows startup disk, use disk at startup effectively bypassing the “broken” startup files. Once into computer, manually move important data to external portable hard-drive.http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/510… (Option #1)
Does this second option risk any further problems or loss of data??? I can’t risk the loss of any data.
What is my safest option? I am under no time-contraints to do either option. Either action would be performed by knowledgable computer techie.

Malware and worms can also cause huge problems- you need to have a secure anti-virus program giving you real time protection against viruses. Running your computer without anti-virus software is like making love without contraception. Don’t do it if you aren’t prepared for the outcome, however unintentional. Our professional advice is that AVG and Anti vir offer the best free anti virus software options. Surprisingly this is one are where free is actually better than the paid for programs offered by the likes of Norton and Mcafee.

A “CiberBeast” A.K.A. My girlfriend’s father erased all the pictures from my camera, i downloaded a program but in only shows me the pictures and says that i have to pay to retrieve them. Is there a free software to recover data from a flash drive and retrieve them for free?

I have deleted them from the recycle bin also (not intending to).
I’m hoping the package won’t be too expensive as I don’t intend to get into this situation many more times (if at all).
